About
Agnideva Dasa (1949–2026) was one of ISKCON's most beloved kirtan singers, renowned for a soaring, heart-melting voice that carried the Hare Krishna maha-mantra to devotees around the world for five decades. Born in Trinidad and Tobago, he joined the Hare Krishna movement in New York City in 1973 and received initiation from its founder, A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, in 1974.
A senior disciple, preacher, and recording artist, he spent years leading street chanting for hours a day and recorded devotional albums whose melodies became standards in temples worldwide, including a heartfelt album for ISKCON's 50th anniversary. He passed away in Salt Lake City, Utah, in April 2026, surrounded by kirtan.
