About
Guru Singh is a third-generation yogi, master spiritual teacher, author, and musician who has taught Kundalini Yoga since 1969, when he began studying with Yogi Bhajan in Los Angeles. A lifelong musician who came up through the 1960s San Francisco music scene, he weaves mantra, story, and song into a teaching style he calls Practical Spirituality, and has trained thousands of Kundalini Yoga teachers worldwide through his classes and Kundalini University.
His recordings bridge sacred chant and Western songcraft — most famously A Game of Chants (2001), recorded with the Grammy-winning singer Seal, which brought Gurmukhi mantras like Aap Sahaee and Wahe Guru to a mainstream audience. He continues to teach, write, and record from Los Angeles with his wife, Guruperkarma Kaur.
