निताई गौराङ्ग

Nitai Gauranga

Ni-tai Gau-ran-ga

"Invoking Nityananda and Chaitanya, the golden avatars of divine love"

Full Translation

Nitai Gauranga calls upon Nityananda Prabhu (Nitai) and Chaitanya Mahaprabhu (Gauranga, "the golden one") — the two great saints of 16th-century Bengal who spread the congregational chanting of the holy names. Chanting their names together is said to open the heart to divine love with no prerequisites, because Nitai and Gauranga are celebrated as the most merciful of all avatars.
