Lokanath Swami

Lokanath Swami is a Maharashtra-born ISKCON sannyasi and one of the earliest Indian disciples of Srila Prabhupada, whom he joined in 1971. He is best known as the inspiration behind Padayatra — walking pilgrimages that have carried kirtan through villages across India and dozens of countries worldwide — and for his warm, traditional Hare Krishna kirtans sung in the classical style of Maharashtra's devotional heritage. He travels and teaches internationally, leading kirtan festivals and japa retreats.
