About
Prabhu Nam Kaur has been singing sacred mantra and shabad from the Kundalini Yoga and Sikh traditions for more than thirty-five years. She is the mother of Grammy-nominated chant artist Snatam Kaur, and her steady, devotional voice carries the depth of a lifetime of daily practice — she aspires to sing these songs of God so their wisdom and beauty shine through, and so listeners find their own voice in them.
Trained in piano from age five and immersed in the raag tradition of Gurbani Kirtan, she has recorded the albums Seasons of the Soul and Ardas, Prayer, and joined Snatam Kaur on the mother-daughter album Mother's Blessing. She continues to teach and sing at retreats and sacred music gatherings.
